How it started

When my son left for college, something shifted inside me.

I was proud, of course—so proud. But the quiet that followed? It was louder than I expected.

The days no longer revolved around school schedules, soccer tournaments, or his favorite meals.

I suddenly had more time... and less clarity. I kept thinking, Who am I now? What’s next for me? 

​

I had built businesses. Managed teams. Served my community. But when the house emptied, I realized how much of my identity had been wrapped in roles I was no longer actively filling. I felt untethered. Drifting. Like I had checked all the boxes of the first half of life… and now I was holding a pen, staring at a blank page.

So I did what I knew to do—I went to God.
I cried. I journaled. I walked by the lake and listened.

​

And slowly, He began to whisper back.

He reminded me of who I was before I was a mom.
He stirred up dreams I’d set aside.

He gave me glimpses of the woman I was becoming—rooted, radiant, and still so full of purpose.

That journey birthed this retreat.

Rooted & Radiant is the space I longed for during those months of searching. A space where I could exhale. Be poured into. Hear God without distractions. Connect with women who understood what I was feeling. And remember that my story wasn’t ending—it was being reimagined.

Now, my greatest desire is to create that space for you.
